AITA for telling my mom to shut up in front of my kids?

My mom constantly criticizes my parenting. Yesterday she told my son he was "getting fat" because I let him have a cookie. I snapped and told her to "shut up and stop body shaming a child". She left crying and now my dad says I need to apologize. AITA?

NTA. This is a clear case of gaslighting. Think about it.
